This initiative seeks to empower our youth in response to the constantly evolving needs of the community within a fast-paced technological landscape. We have therefore positioned ourselves to provide the youth with the necessary skills in IT. Drawing from an IT background, Kule imparts knowledge in coding, teaches the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as website development and networking, including setting up simple office LAN/WiFi networks, commercial networking, and community-focused networks, along with LAN cable termination, among others.

However, this project requires donor funding to help us expand and increase our office space and computer resources to achieve these objectives. It is a new endeavor that necessitates coordinated efforts between KWUG and donors, along with continuous funding to ensure its success.

Therefore, any donor willing to contribute computers as learning tools to bridge the gap between hardware needs and human resource requirements will be greatly appreciated.

We also teach them in other areas like entrepreneurship and vocational skilling.

Our Projects

Here is a summary of some of projects, with others no yet uploaded.

Sustainable agriculture

This project aims at teaching farmers sustainable farming methods. These make sure that farmers don't lose out on the outcome incase of a bad season where there might be too much drought that leads to reduced crop yields. The main aim is to teach them good farming practices that can guarantee up to a certain crop yield.

Capacity building training

This project aims to developing member capacity. This focuses on programs that foster mindset change among them. We normally hold different workshops that aim at improving the lives of our member as well as non members. We normally hire a person who teach them something new about mindset change eg leadership and project management skills, technical skills for WASH programs.

This project of soap making aims at developing skills of vulnerable women in our community by equipping them with life survival skills. This makes them ready to earn a living through simple activities like soap making.

The program is implemented by us and supported by one of our partners.

This project seeks to empower women by providing them with essential tailoring skills, particularly targeting vulnerable groups such as single mothers and adolescent girls. The program is designed to transform unemployed youth and women by fostering a new mindset, enabling them to secure new employment opportunities, and allowing them to contribute to their households, thereby reducing family tensions and the incidence of gender-based violence (GBV).

We are actively seeking support for this initiative. We are in search of partners who can help us expand our outreach to more women within our community. If you are willing and able to assist, we kindly invite you to consider providing funding for this important program.

Coffee farming in Kasese has the potential to transform the livelihoods of women who are involved in this lucrative sector. By embracing modern farming techniques, these women can secure steady incomes that empower them to pay school fees, build homes, and invest in their families' futures. However, to realize these dreams, intensive training is essential to equip them with the necessary skills and knowledge.

Furthermore, donor funding plays a crucial role in making this vision a reality, as it could support the training and resources needed for over 300 rural farmers. Through strategic partnerships and investment in these communities, we can help unlock the potential of coffee farming, creating sustainable opportunities for women and their families.

This irrigation project aims to empower rural farmers in Africa to mitigate the effects of climate change on food production. It focuses on sustainable practices that can transform agricultural output, ensuring food security and resilience against changing climate conditions. With the implementation of a climate-smart irrigation method, this initiative proposes the use of a storage tank, an underground water pump, and a solar-powered DC system to enhance water availability and optimize crop yields.

However, the success of this project hinges on securing adequate donor funding. Without financial support, essential components of the project cannot be realized, leaving over 30 farmers in the community without the means to adapt to climate impacts. If implemented, this project has the potential to turn around food production and significantly improve food security in rural Africa.

Upcoming projects

We are soliciting furniture for Muyina Primary School, where the existing furniture has become too old, broken, and weary. The new furniture will significantly help learners improve their learning outcomes and performance. However, with little or no funding, this project can only become a reality for Muyina Primary School learners with the help of any willing donor who can come on board and work with us to provide desks for them.

The project will help improve learner attendance and results in exams. The school has long not registered a first grade in since its inception. Things like inadequate furniture affect their learning environment hence decline in performance in results.
